Course of Operating System is intended to provide insight, understanding and basic essence of the resource management process on a computerized system. After following this course the student expected to be able to: Explain the basic structure and functions of the operating system, Explaining the mechanism of action and the role of the components of the operating system, identify problems and implement methods on solving problems in process control and synchronization, Explain the basic mechanism in the memory management, the use of virtual memory in modern operating systems, and a common file system structure, Writing programs that utilize call system on operating system.
