This course discusses aspects of the operational management of the company, both for manufacturing and service companies. This course is centered on fundamental issues concerning the operational aspects faced by a head of the company, starting from receiving inputs (input) in the form of raw materials, and then transform / process it efficiently and effectively to become a product, which meets the needs and desire of consumers. The topics of this course include: analysis of capacity, location, layout, material handling, labor (work force), scheduling, and Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
After following this course, the student is able to formulate and carry out the functions of business operations, in particular the company’s business operating system design, planning and production scheduling, as well as to evaluate system performance and controlling the production / operations of a business organization.
