Short Course Tel-U X UMPSA: A Memorable Collaboration in Bandung
Short Course Tel-U X UMPSA 2024. Held at Telkom University in Bandung from May 16-20, the event brought together students and faculty from both institutions for an enriching blend of academic sessions, cultural exchanges, and community service.
The participants from UMPSA departed on the evening of May 16, arriving in Bandung for a warm reception. The first day of the Short Course Tel-U X UMPSA 2024 event, May 17, began with an inspiring opening ceremony. The ceremony was attended by UMPSA participants, SPIO Director Ms. Lia Yuldinawati, Ph.D., and UMPSA representatives Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Bin Mohd. Kasim and Dr. Farahanim Misni, and also staff from the International Office and School of Computing.
The day’s academic sessions of Short Course Tel-U X UMPSA 2024 was commenced with in-depth lectures on “Predictive Model and Data Visualization” attended by UMPSA students, and “Applied Statistics – ANOVA”, presented by Dr. Farahanim Misni to Telkom University students. After a break for lunch, the sessions for UMPSA students resumed with topics on “Multidimensional Array in C Programming”. While for Telkom University students, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Bin Mohd. Kasim shared material on “Developing Gap and Systematic Literature Review.” The day of Short Course Tel-U X UMPSA 2024 event concluded with a traditional Malaysian sports activity and team-building exercises, fostering camaraderie among the participants.
On May 18, the second day of the Short Course Tel-U X UMPSA 2024, the focus shifted to community service. Short Course Tel-U X UMPSA 2024 participants visited an elementary school in Sumedang, a district outside Bandung, where they engaged in charity work and conducted educational workshops. This initiative highlighted the spirit of social responsibility and cross-cultural cooperation. The evening of the Short Course Tel-U X UMPSA 2024 event was marked by a warm welcome from the IOSBC Telkom University, where Short Course Tel-U X UMPSA 2024 participants enjoyed a screening of the Indonesian movie “Susah Sinyal.”

Participants visited Kartika Sari Dago for souvenir shopping and enjoyed lunch at the authentic Sundanese restaurant, Pesona Kampung Sunda. The afternoon of Short Course Tel-U X UMPSA 2024 was spent at Saung Angklung Udjo, where participants were treated to captivating performances of wayang and angklung, offering a deep dive into Sundanese cultural heritage.
The final day of Short Course Tel-U X UMPSA 2024 event, May 20, was a bittersweet farewell.
