KNB Scholarship 2023. KNB Scholarship 2023 is OPEN FOR REGISTRATION. KNB Scholarship is a financial assistance offered by the Indonesian Government to International students from developing countries to pursue their study in Indonesian Universities. It has been conducted since 1992 and has produced hundreds of graduates from all over the world. Since 2020, Telkom University has been being a host for receiving international students with KNB (Kemitraan Negara Berkembang) Scholarship.

Now, international students who want to get the opportunity to study Bachelor Degree Program and Master Degree Program through KNB Scholarship, can choose Telkom University as their campus.

KNB Scholarship Details

PROGRAM STRUCTURE OF KNB SCHOLARSHIP

1. Indonesian Language Training Program (BIPA). It is a one academic year Indonesian Language (Bahasa) course is a compulsory for all KNB students as all courses required to complete the academic program (lecture and thesis) will be conducted in Bahasa. The Bahasa course will be provided by each University.
2. Preparatory program. It is prior to the academic program and will be arranged in accordance with the university’s policy and program planning.
3. Academic Program. It is a maximum of 8 semesters for Bachelor Degree program and 4 semesters for Master Degree program. To successfully complete the program, it is important for all KNB students to consistently produce a good academic performance by developing good attitude, stay focus, punctual, and discipline.

SCHOLARSHIP COVERAGE & DURATION OF KNB SCHOLARSHIP

The KNB Scholarship covers:

1. A Settlement Allowance of IDR 1,500,000 will be given to new students upon their arrival in Indonesia.
2. While taking the Indonesian language course and preparatory programs, the new students will only receive a Living Allowance and Book Allowance per month.
3. During the Academic Program, the KNB students will receive monthly allowance that consists of living allowance and research & book allowance.
4. A health insurance with a maximum of IDR 400,000 monthly premium (In case of the cost of medical services exceeded to those covered by the health insurance, the difference should be borne by the student).
5. A round-trip international airfare (economy class) from the international airport of the student’s home countries to Indonesia, including local transport to the host university.
6. The duration of scholarship is exclusively correlated to the duration of the academic program as indicated below:

1. Please be advised that the KNB Scholarship is calculated to support the KNB Student costs only. There is no provision for dependents. KNB Students are advised not to bring dependents to Indonesia. The KNB Scholarship provides no financial or pastoral support for dependents and will not endorse the visa applications of, nor provide travel for, dependents.

• Note: Other expenses beside above-mentioned items will be considered as personal expenses and will be borne by the students.

REQUIREMENTS OF KNB SCHOLARSHIP

1. The maximum age to apply for the scholarship is 35 years old for Master Program applicants, and 25 years old for Bachelor Program applicants.
2. Applicants must hold a bachelor degree for Master Program applicants, and High School degree for Bachelor Program applicants. Please provide the scanned degree certificate and academic transcripts in English
3. Applicants must have a at least the IBT TOEFL score of 80, or IELTS score of 6.0, or TOEIC score of 700 (the certificate must be obtained within the last 2 Years).
4. Applicant must provide the recommendation letter to apply for the KNB scholarship from the Indonesian Embassy or the Indonesian Consulate General.
5. Applicant must provide recommendation letter to apply for the KNB scholarship from the employer/immediate supervisor.
6. Applicant must provide Academic Recommendation Letter from previous schools.
7. Applicant must have a prove of citizenship (Official Passport or Personal ID).
8. Applicants must complete the on-line application form.

HOW TO APPLY FOR KNB SCHOLARSHIP

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR KNB SCHOLARSHIP

1. Recommendation letter from the Indonesian Embassy in the respective country
2. Recommendation letter from the employer/immediate supervisor
3. Academic Recommendation Letter from previous schools (in English)
4. Scanned passport (personal data page only) or birth certificate
5. Scanned bachelor certificate and academic transcripts (in English) for Master Program applicants, and scanned High School degree certificate and academic transcript (in English) for Bachelor Program applicants
6. Scanned TOEFL or IELTS score certificate (or other English Proficiency Tests) obtained within the last 2 Years
7. Scanned Official Medical Statement (Official Diagnose) prepared by a certified physician

APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR KNB SCHOLARSHIP

• Download the Invitation Letter (Available in the KNB Scholarship website).
• Submit the Invitation letter, Passport, Academic Certificates and Academic Transcripts to the Indonesian Embassy to acquire the recommendation letter.
• Complete the online application process.
• Selection process. The Selection Results will be announced online via the KNB Scholarship Website and officially announced through the Indonesian Embassy publication network.

During the application process, please pay close attention to some important information below:

1. We strongly suggest you collect as many information as possible on Telkom University and your desired study program. Please be advised that once you are admitted, changing either the universities or your study program is strictly prohibited.
2. The recommendation letter from Indonesian Embassy is mandatory. The recommendation letter will be issued based on verification and necessary background and/or security checks conducted by the Indonesian Embassy. In case of no Indonesian official representative in your country, you need to obtain the letter from any Indonesian Embassy accredited to your country.
3. All the required documents must be written or officially translated in English.
4. The participants from English speaking country are not automatically excluded from the requirement to attach the written prove of their English proficiency.
5. The universities will be conducting a series of the selection methods including (if necessary) online interview with the potential candidates.
