USM SUMMER PROGRAM 2023. Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) opens the opportunity for Telkom University students who want to join USM Summer Program 2023: “Tropical Data Science School”. Enjoy and spend your time in a top sustainability-led university after being placed at number 4 in the recent Times Higher Education (THE-GIR) 2022 global sustainability rankings. Moreover, USM is an exemplary and enviable model of garden university, which is located in Georgetown, Penang’s capital which holds the UNESCO world heritage status. In addition to this, you will be exposed to Malaysia’s diverse culture through the food, clothes, music and much more! You get to experience all of this while staying at Penang and enjoying multiple activities designed specifically for students by our USM Buddies – a group of our undergraduate students that awaits to host you at USM.

PROGRAM PERIOD OF USM SUMMER PROGRAM 2023

USM Summer Program or a short-term mobility program at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) 2023 will start from 20 July to 27 July 2023.

Telkom University students who’d like to participate in USM Summer Program 2023 must register the internal selection step by making online registration at https://bit.ly/tropicaldatascienceschool23.

APPLICATION DEADLINE OF USM SUMMER PROGRAM 2023

The application deadline for Telkom University students who are interested in participating in USM Summer Program 2023 will be on June 13^th 2023.

PROGRAM MODE OF USM SUMMER PROGRAM 2023

All eligible students of Telkom University have to come and visit Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), which is located in Georgetown, Penang’s capital by having physical mobility program.

APPLICANTS ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATING IN USM SUMMER PROGRAM 2023

1. Active Telkom University students who have passed 4 semesters for undergraduate program or two years of study at Telkom University.
2. Having excellent academic records, min GPA 3.0 and/or above.
3. Having good English communication skills, proved by English Proficiency Certificate min score 500 of EPrT.
4. Being nominated by International Office of Telkom University.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS OF USM SUMMER PROGRAM 2023

Internal Nomination Steps of USM Summer Program 2023:

1. A scanned of Student ID Card
2. A scanned of academic transcript
3. A scanned of English Language Proficiency Certificate
4. A formal photo

APPLICATION PROCEDURES OF USM SUMMER PROGRAM 2023

1. Applicants read detail information of USM Summer Program 2023. The detail information can be read HERE.
2. Applicants consult with academic supervisor related to participation in the program, including the course selection.
3. Applicants prepare required documents for internal nomination step.
4. Applicants make an online registration for the nomination step at: https://bit.ly/tropicaldatascienceschool23.
5. Applicants wait for the next announcement regarding passed nomination to participate in USM Summer Program 2023 from International Office of Telkom University.
6. Once passed the nomination, applicants will be assisted to apply to the official application of USM Summer Program 2023.

PROGRAM FEE OF USM SUMMER PROGRAM 2023

670 USD is the program fee of USM Summer Program 2023 that covers the academic classes, accommodation, airport transfer from the Penang International Airport, cultural activities, and excursions throughout the program. USM will also be providing daily breakfast and lunches for participants from USM partner universities for FREE.
