Online Farewell Student Exchange Program
Online Farewell Student Exchange Program. International Office of Telkom University organized online farewell for student exchange program of Telkom University on Thursday (32/7). It was attended by the students from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, Universiti Utara Malaysia and Saxion University of Applied Science Netherlands. This event was also attended by the Director of Strategic Partnership and International Office and Vice Dean for Academic and International Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia.
After about 1 semester, they took part in the academic program at Telkom University and finally they were able to complete the program well. The students are going to receive an academic transcript issued by Telkom University as the completion of the program.
During the exchange activities at Telkom University, they took the lesson at several study programs, such as communication science, multimedia system, ICT business, business administration, industrial engineering, and information system. Besides, they also joined several extracurricular activities, such as batik course and discussion activities with local students.
In this event, some of the students shared their experience joining the program. Najwa, a student from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia took a lesson at information system study program, said that she got an unforgettable experience to take an exchange program in Telkom University where she can get the pleasant ambience of study abroad. Meanwhile, Khairul, a student from Universiti Utara Malaysia said that he was amazed with the program and had a lot of interesting experience during the program.
The student exchange program itself is a credit earning program collaborated with the university partners. So far, Telkom University has carried out number of student exchange program with overseas university partners, such as university from Malaysia, Netherlands, and Korea. This program is conducted for about one semester. There was something different for this year student exchange program, in which due to the covid-19 pandemic, the students who were supposed to complete the program for one semester at campus should return to their respective countries and continue the learning process online.
However, it did not make the students lose their enthusiasm for learning. It was proved by their outstanding academic result. Meanwhile, it is highly likely that next year’s student exchange program at Telkom University will be implemented online.(IO)***
