October International Mobility Series
October International Mobility Series. October 2021 is a pretty busy month for Telkom University International Office as in October we implement many international mobility programs with our university partners. Technically, all international mobility events in October are carried out online, considering the situation that still impossible to conduct onsite mobility due to COVID-19 pandemics. There are 4 online international mobility programs implemented in October 2021, including:
October Mobility Program in Telkom University
- Virtual Short Course in Financial Management
Virtual Short Course in Financial Management is one of mobility programs organized by Master of Management Study Program-Telkom University to facilitate students on the program of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka in October. This Virtual Short Course in Financial Management welcomes Master Management from Indonesian universities as well as universities abroad. Since it is a credit program, participants who join full courses (14 meetings) will be granted with a total equivalent of 3 credits. Generally, in this program, students are expected to understand the basics of corporate financial management and make the right decisions to increase the value of the corporation. In order to support an interesting and creative learning process, this course is also equipped with the concepts of project-based assignment and case-based assignment. This mobility program has been started in September 2021 and will be ended in January 2022. In October, the students learn about: Working Capital Management, Capital Structure and Leverage, Case based Assignment & Presentation.
- Virtual Short Course in Future Technology
Future Technology Virtual Short Course is one of a student mobility program organized by Telkom University, Indonesia, Universiti Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Mapua University, Philippines. This short course, scheduled from 9-30 October 2021, is designed to facilitate students to learn and explore the future technology that will be booming and profitable especially in digital era. A total of 15 participants from each university join this program to study Future Technology from excellent lecturers from Telkom University, Indonesia, Universiti Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Mapua University, Philippines. The topic covered in this mobility program are: Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Image Processing, and projects-based presentation.
Cross Culture Program 2021 is one of October International Mobility series designed by Telkom University Indonesia and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS Malaysia. This Cross Culture Program 2021 emphasizes the cultural exchange between Indonesian culture and Malay culture covering: Cultural Discussion & Performance (Gamelan and Dance) and Art & Craft Session (Batik & Chinese Calligraphy). This amazing and exciting virtual 2021 Cross Culture Program is held in two days in October (16 and 17 October 2021) and participated by a number of students from Telkom University, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS Malaysia, and other Indonesian universities. In the cultural discussion session, participants interactively discussed about: a) Brief introduction on what Malay Culture (Gamelan & Dance) and Balinese Culture (Gamelan & Dance); b) History and uniqueness of both cultures; c) How relevance Malay Culture and Balinese culture influenced the society; and d) Effort on sustaining both cultures.
- Online Joint Class in Textile, Craft and Fashion Design
Another October International Mobility Series is Online Joint Class in Textile, Craft and Fashion Design. It is a collaborative mobility program between Telkom University and Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia (UiTM). This Online Joint Class is scheduled in October 26th-28th, 2021 which is designed into 5 sessions. Students who join this Online Class learn some topics as follow:
- Fashion Design Process
- Fashion Branding
- Textile Research & Design Exploration
- Techno Textile
- Textile Design & Ornament Application to Fashion Product
This October Online Joint Class absolutely brings many inputs for students especially fashion design students who are currently working on their final projects. Why? Because the speakers show some projects with the detailed steps of the research. Thus, this October mobility programs are expected that it will enlighten students in generating the idea of their final projects.
