Resume Writing Workshop: EDU4U. The International Office Telkom University collaborated with PETRONAS Technology University (UTP) Malaysia organized Edu4U program, “Resume Writing Workshop” on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 9 am online via google meet.
Resume Writing Workshop is an online joint class, a collaboration between Tel-U and UTP Malaysia. Previously, both universities had been heavily involved in large-scale online classes.
Resume Writing Workshop Speaker
Resume Writing Workshop event invited Dr. Retno Hendriyati, lecturer as well as Manager of Language Center as a speaker. In this Resume Writing Workshop, Dr. Retno explained several things related to resume writing such as the difference between a Resume and a CV, Rules for writing a good resume, Do’s and Don’ts in Resume writing, and useful tips in writing a resume. Resume Writing Workshop event is also equipped with a resume writing simulation which is directly guided by the speaker.
Dr. Retno opened Resume Writing Workshop with an explanation on the importance of knowing our goals in writing a resume. If you want to apply for a job, then we must know what job we really dream of and our capacity. That way, we can describe ourselves better and in accordance with the company’s criteria. She also added in Resume Writing Workshop about the importance of perfect resume writing. Proofread needs to be done many times to avoid reading or writing errors. Write a resume as simple as possible; “Less is More”, because the company will only look at your resume for 15-30 seconds.
Resume Writing Workshop which was attended by more than 60 participants from both countries was lively and active. Students seemed enthusiastic through the questions asked, and they were also active in the ice breaker given by the speaker. Both universities hopes that Resume Writing Workshop can provide new insights for the participants and can be applied easily.
