Workshop: “Comic & Cartoon Demo”, TelU & MSU Malaysia
Workshop: “Comic & Cartoon Demo” is the latest onsite visit program between Telkom University and Management and Science University, Malaysia. Telkom University, through the School of Applied Science, gave a warm welcome to Management and Science University for such a wonderful visit. This Workshop: “Comic & Cartoon Demo” program was implemented successfully last week, August 3rd, 2023, at the School of Applied Science, covering a workshop program, cultural exchange, and campus tour.
Workshop: “Comic & Cartoon Demo” highlights:
Students from both universities shared knowledge about making good art and drawing. The great legendary hero “Gatotkaca” was sketched for each student who took part in the program. The most interesting element of this coloring section was the students who employed the original coloring technique, employing brushes and poster colors to add some tones and detailing to Gatotkaca’s sketch; some students colored the image using drawing tablets like the Wacom and iPad. At the end of the Workshop: “Comic & Cartoon Demo” program, students displayed some outstanding results and excellent artwork.
Students from Management and Science University, Malaysia, were also introduced to some Indonesian culture and a traditional music instrument, “Angklung”. Students then had the opportunity to do a campus tour around the School of Applied Science faculty. They explored laboratories across the faculty and the most unique spots. This Workshop: “Comic & Cartoon Demo” program absolutely gave students many inputs; they were exposed to Indonesian culture, knowledge on drawing and coloring techniques, and a quick tour around campus. Besides, this workshop: “Comic & Cartoon Demo” also made students from Tel-U and MSU get to know each other and made a great bonding as students.

We hope Telkom University students have a chance to visit Management and Science University and collaborate in such a great program.
