Students from 4 Malaysian Universities Visited Tel-U. On 23rd September, Telkom University received a visit from Government Linked University, Malaysia, including students from Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Multimedia University, Universiti Kuala Lumpur, and Universiti Teknologi Petronas. They were warmly welcomed in the opening ceremony held in Multimedia room, Bangkit Building 2nd Floor.
Vice rector III of Telkom University for Admission, International Partnership and Career Development Dr. Dida Diah Damajanti attended the Opening Ceremony as well as gave opening speech. Also attended the Director of Admission, Rinna Fridiana and the invited speaker, Dr. Eng. Khoirul Anwar, ST, M. Eng. to give the seminar on Telkom Industry in Indonesia.
The event was run smoothly. The participants were brief introduced to Telkom University profile before they visited some Telkom University’s landmarks, Bandung Techno Park and Open Library. The main agenda, which was seminar, was delivered greatly by Dr. Eng. Khoirul Anwar S.T., M. Eng. All participants were exposed to the seminar on telecommunications industry in Indonesia. After participating in the seminar, all participants involved in Kahoot games about Indonesian and Malaysian culture. All participants involved in the games competitively.
Moreover, to make the event more fun yet meaningful, all participants were asked to dance “Maumere”, guided by one of the International Office staffs. As the exchange, some Malaysian students gave performances including singing and dancing. They were so happy participating in the dance.
The GLU Student Visit was ended by touring to Bandung Techno Park (BTP) and Open Library. BTP is a unit that bridges Telkom University with the industry in the multimedia department. All participants were exposed to the information of the multimedia room, and invited to the park environment showing some start-up programs that are being designed. After that, they went to Open Library, where they were explained the facilities they can explore in the Telkom University Open Library.
Telkom University is open to other universities to conduct a visit as well as benchmarking as one of the steps of cooperation or the realization of the cooperation itself. We have established cooperation with some universities from various countries including Malaysia, Japan, Korea, The Netherland, China, etc.(IO)***
