Rankings by THE Impact, Tel-U is the Best

Rankings by THE Impact, Tel-U is the Best. Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings (WUR) has released a world rankings based on the Impact Rankings 2021. As cited from the official website www.timeshighereducation.com, in this rankings, THE WUR gives rankings to 1,115 universities from 94 countries based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) determined by the United Nations (UN).

There are four aspects of the assessment of THE Impact Rankings, namely Research, Teaching, Stewardship, and Outreach. Based on the ranking, Telkom University, again, managed to get the first rank for private universities or the best private university in Indonesia and the 10th rank in Indonesia along with 9 state universities. It makes Telkom University is ranked 201-300 in the world rankings.

Rankings by THE Impact

Telkom University won the 4 highest points in the categories Affordable and clean energy, clean water and sanitation, Industry innovation and infrastructure, and Partnership for the Goals, with a total of 71.0-77.4 points.

Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Adiwijaya, explained that Telkom University’s world achievement (rankings) was again Telkom University’s commitment to continue to provide the best for people of Indonesian and the world. “From the Impact Rankings, we continue to develop SDGs at Telkom University, by continuing to make innovations to advance the Indonesian nation and benefit society, and to improve the rankings,” he explained.

Therefore, Prof. Adiwijaya added, the need for research collaboration in creating innovations for a sustainable future, collaboration between the world of education, the world of industry and the government. “We also continue to encourage researchers at Telkom University to continue to collaborate both between science fields and between educational institutions and industry,” he explained.

Congratulations to all Telkom University academicians for this rangkings, as the rector said that this was the result of hard work and smart work from Telkom University academics as well as contributions from alumni and all stakeholders. “This achievement of rankings is a mandate for us (Telkom University) to continue to provide the best for Indonesia. We hope that this achievement (rankings) can be beneficial not only for the academic community but also as an encouragement for all of us to make the best contribution to the people and nation of Indonesia,” he explained.(IO)***
