Newton Fund Proposal Calls 2016 are Now Open

UK – Indonesia Science & Technology Fund: Newton Institutional Links -KLN/INSINAS

Newton Fund with the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (MRTHE) opens the opportunity to support the joint research translation work that led by Indonesia – UK universities/research institutions. To also support the quality of Indonesia research, expected output of the project is international publication.

Submission period               : 19 April 2016 – 27 June 2016

Proposal Value                         Funding Size                         : GBP 70,000 – GBP 120,000 by Newton Fund

For Applicants                      : Indonesian State Universities (please follow MRTHE’s programme, KLN). Parallel applications through BC system and MRTHE’s system should be followed. There are two applications should be submitted:

  1. Joint proposal (UK and Indonesia institutions) should be sent through British Council’s online application and
  2. Indonesia lead applicant responsible for applying through MRTHE’s online application

*Please note that both applications must be identical

UK – Indonesia Science & Technology Fund : Newton Researcher Links – SAME Travel Grant

To support the capacity building in research and innovation in higher education, Directorate General of Resources for Science, Technology and Higher Education together with the Newton Fund is offering Newton Researcher Links – SAME Travel Grant Programme.  This programme is a joint project between Scheme for Academic Mobility and Exchange (SAME) which managed by the MRTHE and the Newton Fund Researcher Links Travel Grant which managed by the British Council. The programme is expected to reflect direct impact towards the social welfare and economic development in Indonesia.

Submission period               : 19 April 2016 – 27 June 2016

Visit Duration                       : 3 Months (For departure in 2017)
