M.Psy as a guest speaker, the sharing session this time discussed on how to remain calm and think positively in facing this covid-19 pandemic.

This sharing session was attended by 18 participants who are Telkom University International students. Before getting into the topic, the speaker invited participants to play very interesting games. Participants were asked to take part in a quiz about the names of traditional foods in Indonesia. This was certainly interesting because most participants came from abroad. This sharing session was very interactive. Participants are asked to interact with the speaker by answering questions directly through the quiz.

The speaker said that one of the most important things in dealing with this pandemic situation was accepting the situation and emotions. Why? because it’s about letting go of attempts to control our emotions and learning that emotions don’t hurt us, even though the things we do try to get rid of emotions. Psychologically, it is normal for us to feel that we are not okay. Some tips shared by the speaker to keep positive thinking during this pandemic are stay healthy, limit our intake such as limit ourselves to social media, keep active, take care of each other and time to know ourselves better.

The sharing session is expected to be a place for international students to be able to interact and get positive feedback during the learning activities at Telkom University on the state of covid-19 pandemic. It is due to some students who still decide to stay on campus. Through this activity, students can discuss about their condition during this pandemic. There will be more sharing sessions with more interesting topics. So, stay tune! (IO)***
