Financial Management 7th Meeting Highlights
According to Dr. Ashikin, talking about Financial Management, Working Capital is a result from current assets which is reduced by current liabilities. It measures how much in liquid assets a company has available to build its business. Positive working capital is required to ensure that a firm is able to continue its operations and that it has sufficient funds to satisfy both maturing short-term debt and upcoming operational expenses. The management of working capital involves managing inventories, accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash.
Dr. Ashikin also talked about principle of working capital management in the 7th meeting of Financial Management Class. The fundamental principle of working capital management are reducing the capital employed and improving efficiency in the areas of receivables, inventories and payables.
To be more engaged with the participants, Dr. Ashikin in the 7th meeting of Financial Management Class, also employed discussion session through some cases sourced both from video and practical cases. The class of Financial Management, of course, turned interactive since all participants actively involved in the discussion and practice session.
