HESS 2024. Welcome to the vibrant and dynamic Hanyang ERICA Summer School 2024 or we call it HESS 2024, where academic excellence meets cultural immersion in the heart of South Korea. This HESS 2024 program unveils an exciting opportunity with both 2-week and 4-week options, allowing participants to tailor their experience to their academic and exploratory preferences. Beyond the lecture halls, the program beckons adventurers to uncover the enchanting facets of Korean culture, from its traditional roots to its modern vibrancy.

PROGRAM PERIOD OF HESS 2024
HESS 2024 has two options programs there are two-week program and four-week program.
2 Weeks Program (choose either session 1 or 2)
- Session 1: 20 July – 4 August 2024
- Session 2: 2 August – 17 August 2024
4 Weeks Program (participate in both session 1 and 2)
- Session 1+2: 20 July – 17 August 2024
CREDIT OF HESS 2024
- Enrol in one session and earn a maximum of 4 credits (2 weeks)
- Enrol in two sessions and earn a maximum of 8 credits (4 weeks)

APPLICATION DEADLINE OF HESS 2024
Telkom University students who want to participate in the HESS 2024 at Hanyang University ERICA Campus must register beforehand via the internal application link before April 30th, 2024.
ACTIVITIES IN HESS 2024
Activity 1 (K-Pop Music Concert)
HESS 2024 will bring students to the world of K-Pop. Do not miss the opportunity to feel and enjoy the vibe at the performance scene at HESS 2024.
Activity 2 (Everland & Caribbean Bay)
Everland is one of Korea’s most visited amusement parks. Signature attractions such as the T-Express make Everland a popular destination for a day trip. Meanwhile Caribbean Bay just next door is one of Korea’s biggest water parks.

Students can select 1 core course (mandatory) and 1 elective course (optional) per session in HESS 2024.
1 credit equivalent to 15 contact hours.

APPLICANTS ELIGIBILITY FOR HESS 2024
- Telkom University undergraduate students
- Having excellent academic records and good honours with GPA 3.00 (out of 4.00) or above
- Having good English communication skills, proved by English at level TOEFL-iBT 61/higher or Telkom University EPrT 500.
- Being passed the nomination step
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR HESS 2024
As the first step, Telkom University students must prepare all the required documents for joining HESS 2024, such as:
- Scan of Student ID Card
- Recent Academic Transcript in English
- Scan of English Proficiency Certificate at level TOEFL-iBT 61/higher or Telkom University EPrT 500.
- Formal Photo

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR OFFICIAL REGISTRATION
Follow these additional requirements for official registration to participate in HESS 2024:
- Formal photo in jpg format which is under 500KB in size
- A copy of passport
- Bank certificate
- Application form
- International Health Insurance
- Family Relation Certificate (only for applicants with bank certificate under their father or mother’s name)
- Letter of Recommendation by International Office of Telkom University (only for applicants who don’t meet the GPA or language requirement)
APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR HESS 2024
- Applicant reads detailed information of HESS 2024 HERE.
- Applicant consults with academic supervisor related to participation in the HESS 2024 program, including the courses’ selection.
- Applicant prepares required documents for the internal nomination step at Telkom University.
- Applicants make an online registration for the HESS 2024 nomination step at: http://tiny.cc/HESS2024 before April 30th, 2024.
- Wait for the next announcement regarding the CHOSEN nomination of HESS 2024 from the International Office of Telkom University.
- Once the nomination, the applicant will be guided to apply to the official online application for Hanyang ERICA Summer School 2024.
