YISS 2024: Yonsei International Summer School 2024. The Yonsei International Summer School (YISS) commenced its operations in 1985 and has since become an integral component of campus life, embodying a unique fusion of Korean and global cultures.
The 2024 curriculum features a wide array of courses spanning arts, culture, and humanities, alongside contemporary offerings in management, economics, global affairs, history, social sciences, and science and technology. Additionally, YISS 2024 now offers Video Lecture (Online-only) courses, providing students with increased flexibility and choice during their time in Korea. Furthermore, a condensed 4-week option is available to cater to individuals with limited availability.
This summer, we extend an invitation to experience the renowned “Yonsei Spirit” and immerse yourself in an unforgettable summer in the vibrant heart of Seoul. PROGRAM PERIOD OF YISS 2024
YISS 2024 has two options programs there are four-weeks program and six-weeks program.
- 4 weeks: June 26th-July 23rd, 2024
- 6 weeks: June 26th-August 6th, 2024
CREDIT OR COURSE LOAD OF YISS 2024
Minimum course load is 1 course (3 credits), and maximum course load is 3 courses (9 credits).
All YISS 2024 courses are credit-bearing courses and credits earned at YISS are transferable to most institutions outside of Korea. For credit transfer, students are advised to consult and obtain approval from academic advisors in Telkom University in advance: Credit transferability of a particular YISS course depends solely on study programs’ policies.

APPLICATION DEADLINE OF YISS 2024
Telkom University students who want to participate in the YISS 2024 at Yonsei University Campus must register beforehand via the internal application link before April 20th, 2024.
ACTIVITIES IN YISS 2024
YISS 2024 offers a variety of extracurricular activities such as one-day or field trips every Friday. The schedule may be subject to change under the COVID-19 situation. These are activities that we have arranged at this moment.

COURSES IN YISS 2024
- YISS 2024 offers 6 different fields and 100 Courses including online courses conducted in English. Please pay attention to the option of length of study:
- Length of Study: 4 weeks: Not able to take 6-week courses.
- Length of Study: 6 weeks: Should take at least one 6-week course, but can also choose courses from 4-week courses.

APPLICANTS ELIGIBILITY FOR YISS 2024
- Telkom University undergraduate students
- Having excellent academic records and good honours with GPA 3.00 (out of 4.00) or above
- Having good English communication skills, proved by English at level TOEFL-iBT 61/higher or Telkom University EPrT 500.
- Being passed the nomination step
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR YISS 2024
As the first step, Telkom University students must prepare all the required documents for joining YISS 2024, such as:
- Scan of Student ID Card
- Recent Academic Transcript in English
- Scan of English Proficiency Certificate at level TOEFL-iBT 61/higher or Telkom University EPrT 500.
- Formal Photo

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR OFFICIAL REGISTRATION
Follow these additional requirements for official registration to participate in YISS 2024 (for Visa Application):
- Formal photo in jpg format which is under 500KB in size
- A copy of passport
- Bank certificate
- Application form
- International Health Insurance
- Family Relation Certificate (only for applicants with bank certificate under their father or mother’s name)
- Letter of Recommendation by International Office of Telkom University (only for applicants who don’t meet the GPA or language requirement)
APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR YISS 2024
- Applicant reads detailed information of YISS 2024 HERE.
- Applicant consults with academic supervisor related to participation in the program, including the courses’ selection.
- Applicant prepares required documents for the internal nomination step at Telkom University.
- Applicants make an online registration for the nomination step at: http://tiny.cc/YISS2024 before April 20th, 2024.
- Wait for the next announcement regarding the CHOSEN nomination of YISS 2024 from the International Office of Telkom University.
- Once the nomination, the applicant will be guided to apply to the official online application for Yonsei International Sumer School 2024.
