Telkom University Visit to JAIST

Telkom University, represented by Dr. Eng. Khoirul Anwar, ST., M.Eng visited Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) in order to continue cooperation in 2014 that had stopped. Dr. Eng. Khoirul hopes cooperation between the two can be re-established this year.

Representative of Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), Prof. Yukari Nagai expressed his desire to really cooperate with Telkom University. Prof. Nagai is very familiar with Telkom University because he has been invited by Telkom University several times to visit Bandung.

The nearest agenda as a form of cooperation between Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) and Telkom University is student exchange, especially from the Faculty of Creative Industries and the Faculty of Business Economics. This activity is expected to continue to expand for other faculty related to information science and material science which is also the main competence of JAIST and Telkom University.

Prof. Nagai said that the biggest challenge for them is the master degree students in Japan are often busy for hunting jobs that is why sometimes it’s difficult to do exchange student activities to Indonesia. JAIST, very welcome if there are students of Telkom University who wants to study in  JAIST, Japan.

This collaboration is expected not to be about students exchange only, but also the real activities that can produce results and good relationship between Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) and Telkom University.
