Telkom University Hosts the ATU-Net Sustainability Tech Challenge 2024: Empowering Innovation for a Greener Future
Bandung, Indonesia – November 15, 2024 – Telkom University is proud to announce the successful completion of the ATU-Net Sustainability Tech Challenge 2024, an event held from November 11 to 15 that brought together talented students committed to advancing sustainable practices through technology. This competition aimed to empower participants to tackle pressing environmental issues, driving progress in sustainable development and fostering a culture of ecological responsibility among future leaders.
The ATU-Net Sustainability Tech Challenge 2024 convened bright minds from diverse fields — engineering, information technology, environmental science, and business — to develop pioneering solutions that mitigate environmental impact. Participants were tasked with designing and demonstrating innovations across critical areas such as renewable energy, waste management, sustainable agriculture, water conservation, and urban green planning, embodying the potential for technology to promote a sustainable future.
Kickoff with Inspiring Webinar and Proposal Selection
The event series launched on October 8, 2024, with a Preparatory Webinar, engaging 28 teams from 9 ATU-Net member universities. During this session, the committee revealed the top 10 proposals selected to receive support for the onsite event and further stages of the competition. The ATU-Net Sustainability Tech Challenge 2024 webinar also featured talks from three distinguished speakers from the Faculty of Economic on “Information Technology for Sustainable”
Final Presentations
After a month-long development phase, the ATU-Net Sustainability Tech Challenge 2024 event culminated in a five-day final presentation session from November 11 to 15 at Telkom University, Bandung. Nine teams moved to this final round: Eco Sleuths, HaoPengYou, Looker, SLINGO, SADITeam, Tim HOPE, AmazingAI, Rukkha-devs, and Mendadak Mendidik, each showcasing their projects before a panel of esteemed judges.
