Telkom University Choir team Won the “31st International Franz Schubert Choir Competition”
Bandung, Telkom University Choir team won first place in “31st International Franz Schubert Choir Competition” in Vienna, Austria. This competition was held by Interultur Germany (30 May 2018 – 3rd June 2018). Telkom University won first place in two different category: Sacred Choral Music (S) and Mixed Youth Choir (G3).
Telkom University choir team was the only representative of Indonesia, and was competing against another 17 countries: Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Norway, China, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, US and Vietnam. Telkom University’s team was consist with 34 singers and 1 music conductor. Telkom University’s choir team delivered 8 different songs, 3 songs in Sacred Choral Music category and the other 4 was in Mixed Youth Choir. They also delivered traditional songs, dances, and costumes of Indonesian.
In this competition, Telkom University choir team received the Gold Diplome VI and got the highest score in the competition. The team also received Qualified I as the qualification to compete in the most prestigious Interultur competition.
Ryan as the team departure leader said that he is really grateful for what they received, he said that this competition can motivated the team for the next competition.
