Summer in San Fransisco 2025. San Francisco State University is a vibrant and multifaceted campus situated within a serene urban enclave. It provides a dynamic experience both within the campus community and beyond its academic confines, exposing you to new interests, individuals, and perspectives.
This program is designed to allow students to spend summer immersed in the culture of one of the most diverse and exciting cities in the world! Students will earn university credits by taking SF State academic courses while enjoying everything San Francisco and the Bay Area have to offer. All Summer in SF in personal students take 6 units/session and have the opportunity to learn about the geographic, historical and environmental, socio-cultural, and political context of the Bay Area, San Francisco, and San Francisco State University through a FREE experiential course, AU 110จC Living in San Francisco.
This is a fun and functional opportunity for students to enrich their academic goals and worldview. All Summer in SF participants attending online or in person will attend an orientation, receive advising and support, and have the opportunity to immerse themselves in life at SF State. No application fee.

The program is scheduled to take place over 2 to 10 weeks, June – August 2025.

Telkom University students who want to participate in the SUMMER IN SAN FRANCISCO 2025 at San Francisco State University must register beforehand via the internal application link before March 31st, 2025.

Explore San Francisco While You Are Learning: Explore the city while taking the optional and free 1 unit course, A U 110: Living in San Francisco*. Visit historic neighborhoods, hike through iconic landscapes, and check out historic landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Embarcadero, and Nob Hill. See new people, and new places and discover new personal potential. Here is a tentative place that will be explored by students:
COURSES OF SUMMER IN SAN FRANCISCO 2025
- Earn University Credit: Complete two courses in any available subject earning a minimum six SF State Credits that maybe transferrable to your home university. Receive an official SF State transcript.
- Choose Courses from any Discipline: As a comprehensive university with nearly 100 majors, SF State offers over 600 undergraduate and graduate courses in areas to meet any interest. Choose from a wide variety of subjects including business, engineering, design, communications, international relations, social sciences, and more.

PROGRAM DATES AND FEES FOR SUMMER IN SAN FRANCISCO 2025

Students pay the following tuition and mandatory fees per semester:
- Tuition: $395 (IDR 6.500.000) per unit x number of units enrolled
- Mandatory fees (Undergraduate and Graduate, Non-Business): $165 (IDR 2.700.000) per unit x number of units enrolled and Muni Pass: $40/month (IDR 650.000)
- Mandatory fees (Graduate, Business): $405 (IDR 6.600.000) per unit x number of units enrolled

PPLICANTS ELIGIBILITY FOR HESS 2025
- Active Telkom University undergraduate students who have passed 1 year of study.
- Having excellent academic records, min GPA of 3.0 and/or above.
- Having good English communication skills, proved by English at level CEFR B2 (IELTS 5.5, TOEIC 785, IBT 72, ITP 543, Duolingo 90, or EPrT 500* (for internal registration only).
- Being nominated by the International Office of Telkom University.

As the first step, Telkom University students must prepare all the required documents for joining the SUMMER IN SAN FRANCISCO 2025, such as:

- Formal photo in jpg format which is under 500KB in size
- A copy of passport
- Bank certificate
- Application form
- International Health Insurance
- Family Relation Certificate (only for applicants with bank certificate under their father or mother’s name)
- Letter of Recommendation by International Office of Telkom University (only for applicants who don’t meet the GPA or language requirement)
