- Having excellent academic records and good honours.

Korean: A level 3 on the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK)
OR
English: IELTS: overall band of 5.5 or above , TOEIC: 785 or above, Cambridge English Test: overall 170 or above, Duolingo: 90 or above (accepted only until Spring 2026 applicants) is considered the minimum acceptable for admission to Hanyang’s Exchange Program.
TOEFL iBT – Before Jan 2026 (old format): est. total 72 or above- From Jan 2026 (new format): total 4 or above
- Validity: Old-format scores accepted only until Dec 31, 2027 (valid until Spring 2028 exchange recruitment)
- Being passed the nomination step by Telkom University.
