Short Course 2023 for International Class Students
Short Course 2023 for International Class Students. Having international exposure is one of the requirements of international class students at Telkom University. They can gain international exposure through joining Joint Degree or Double Degree Program, Student Exchange Program, and Short Course Program in our partner universities or non-partner universities abroad. This year, apart from the Educative Trip program, Telkom University also proposed a Short Course Program to partner universities abroad to facilitate international class students to gain international exposure.
The Short Course Program 2023 is one of Telkom University’s Outbound Mobility programs which is intended for Telkom University international class students, implemented at partner universities abroad in a fairly short period of less than 1 month. Telkom University collaborated with several universities including Universiti Malaya Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS Malaysia, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, Prince of Songkla University (PSU) Thailand, FPT Education Global Vietnam, and Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan.
It’s around 134 international class students are taking part in the short course program 2023. Below are the schedules of the implementation of short course program 2023:
- Short Course 2023 at UM Malaysia on 17-21 September 2023, 35 students.
- Short Course 2023 at Prince of Songkla University (PSU) Thailand on 24 September-2 October 2023, 30 students.
- Short Course 2023 at FPT Vietnam 26 September-30 September 2023, 23 students.
- Short Course 2023 at Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) Japan on 30 September-7 October 2023, 12 students
- Short Course 2023 at UTHM Malaysia, 11 students.
- Short Course 2023 at UTP Malaysia, 23 students.
Short Course 2023 Highlight
Students who joined the short course at UM Malaysia gained the international exposure both academically and non-academically. In terms of academic international exposure, students were exposed to Augmented Reality materials. They learned how technology allows users to combine the real world with virtual elements, thereby creating unique new experiences. Not forget to mention, as for non-academically, students were joined field trip to several Malaysian heritage to expose to the Malaysian cultures.
Flying to Thailand, students conducting short course at PSU had so much fun in exploring Phuket culture. The main agenda of the Short Course program at Prince of Songkla University, Thailand includes:
- Thai Culture in general learning and workshops, including Thai Traditional Dance, Thai Cooking Class, Marine Life Activities
- Visits and workshops in Local Communities
- Excursion to a cultural heritage site in Phuket, Thailand
The short course 2023 at FPT Education Global was a big success, blending academic enrichment with cultural immersion. From dynamic lectures by renowned experts in various fields to interactive workshops that sparked innovation and learning, participants were strengthened by the academic experience. They also reveled in the rich tapestry of Vietnamese culture, savoring traditional cuisine, exploring vibrant markets, and embracing local customs. The short course 2023 at FPT Vietnam was a harmonious fusion of education and cultural exchange, leaving all participants with unforgettable memories and a deep appreciation for Vietnam’s heritage.
Interactive program between academic and culture on short course 2023 continued to Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) Japan where students of Telkom University enjoyed the astonishing Japanese culture as well as knowledgeable experiences in one of the advanced countries in Asia. Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) offered Telkom University students the unforgettable moments in which they would not experience every day in their home country.
As we came to the end of the short course 2023 with immense gratitude and a heart full of pride that we reflect on this remarkable journey. Bringing together students from Telkom University and four prestigious universities across Asia, alongside esteemed representatives from renowned organizations was full of inspiration. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the participants for their dedication, passion, and invaluable contributions, which made this program a grand success.
Together in short course 2023, we’ve forged connections that transcend borders, exchanged knowledge that knows no boundaries, and cultivated a spirit of international collaboration that we hope will flourish in the years to come.
