Monroe College Exchange Program 2025. The Exchange Visitor Program is designed to bring international students and scholars to the United States for a variety of educational and cultural exchange purposes using the J-1 exchange visa. The purpose of the J-1 visa is to increase mutual understanding between the people of the U.S. and the people of other countries by means of educational and cultural exchanges.
Monroe University has a vibrant J-1 visa program providing an opportunity for international students to study affordably in the New York City region at our New Rochelle and experience its rich cultural diversity.

The program period of Monroe College Program is divided into 2, January 2026 and April 2026

APPLICATION DEADLINE OF MONROE COLLEGE EXCHANGE PROGRAM 2025
Telkom University students who’d like to participate in MONROE COLLEGE EXCHANGE PROGRAM must register beforehand via Telkom University internal application link:
1. For semester start January 2026, apply by September 30, 2025
2. For semester start April, 2026, apply by January 31, 2026
PROGRAM DETAIL FOR MONROE COLLEGE EXCHANGE PROGRAM 2025
The J1 exchange student experience includes the following each semester:
- All academic credit bearing courses in your degree program (12-15 credits)
- Tutoring resources
- Digital libraries
- Technology
- E books
- Dormitory style apartment living with free WIFI
- Weekly meal plan including breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Access to outdoor and indoor athletic facilities.
- Full range of student life activities and clubs.
- Access to New York City cultural sites and activities

APPLICANTS ELIGIBILITY FOR MONROE COLLEGE EXCHANGE PROGRAM 2025
- Active Telkom University undergraduate and postgraduate students who have passed 1 year of study
- Having excellent academic records and good honours with GPA 3.00 (out of 4.00) or above.
- All participants are required to prove an English proficiency. It can be TelU EPrT of 500.
- Must agree to abide by the rules and regulations of UUM or placement provider
- Prepare 350 words motivational essay
- Agrees to be responsible for the costs incurred
- Being passed the nomination step by Telkom University.

As the first step, Telkom University students must prepare all the required documents for joining MONROE COLLEGE EXCHANGE PROGRAM 2025, such as:
- Scan of Student ID Card
- Recent Academic Transcript in English
- Scan of English Proficiency Certificate.
- Formal Photo

- Applicant consults with academic supervisor related to participation in the program, including the courses’ selection.
- Applicant prepares required documents for the internal nomination step at Telkom University.

- Wait for the next announcement regarding the CHOSEN nomination of UUM Spring Exchange 2026 Malaysia from Telkom University International Office.
- Once the nomination is announced, the applicant will be guided to apply to the official online application for the UUM Spring Exchange 2026.
