Millennial Generation In Industrial Era 4.0
JAKARTA, JW Marriot – Carrying the theme of “How to Deal and Develop the Millennials for Industry 4.0 Era”, Telkom University (Tel-U) through the Directorate of Career Development (Tel-U Career) again held Industrial Human Capital Development Summit 2018 on Thursday (19/7) at JW Marriot Hotel, Jakarta. This summit was attended by tens of Industries.
This activity is an effort of Telkom University in applying the concept of Penta Helix collaboration which is being discussed widely. A concept that focuses on Entrepreneurship development by Academician, Business, Community, Government and Media. It is expected that the application of the concept in addition to producing competent graduates in the professional world is also able to develop entrepreneurship spirit in every alumni.
Rector of Telkom University Prof. Ir. Mochamad Ashari, M.Eng., Ph.D said that he hoped the application of the concept in addition to produce graduates who are competent in the professional world, it is also able to develop entrepreneurship spirit in every alumni.
“The five pillars need to move simultaneously to succeed the concept of Penta Helix collaboration, from the five components, the role of the university is a necessity and the most important requirement.” He explained.
The Industrial Human Capital Development Summit 2018 was filled with industries discussions guided by the moderator as well as news anchor of TVone, Indy Rahmawati, in the discussion Telkom University welcomed any input and suggestion from industry and government so that Tel-U can prepare graduates who are competent and ready to enter the job world.
The Rector added that one of the programs to be prepared by Telkom University is an internship for one year.
“Internships must be done in long period so that when they graduate, they can directly enter job word. While during internship they are treated as staff, are given assignment and get paid, too. “Closed Ashari.
