ACCOMMODATION FOR KUMAMOTO POST-GRADUATE FALL STEP 2025
It is NOT mandatory for exchange students from partner schools to live in the dormitory and may find their own accommodations in the area, but should be aware that finding off-campus housing, especially for only one semester, can be challenging. Spots in campus housing are reserved for exchange students.

ESTIMATED BUDGET FOR KUMAMOTO POST-GRADUATE FALL STEP 2025 (1 semester)
Students are exempted from the payment of any entrance examination fees, admission fees and tuition fees.
APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY FOR KUMAMOTO UNIVERSITY STEP FALL 2025
- Telkom University graduate students
- Having excellent academic records and good honors with GPA of 3.00 (out of 4.00) or above
- Having good English communication skills, proved by English at CEFR B2 level OR JLPT N2. CEFR B2 shows at TOEFL-iBT sore 72 – 94, IELTS score 5.5 – 6.0 and TOEIC score 785-940.
- Being nominated by the International Office of Telkom University.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR KUMAMOTO UNIVERSITY STEP FALL 2025
As the first step, Telkom University students must prepare all the required documents for joining the KUMAMOTO UNIVERSITY STEP FALL 2025, such as:
- Scan of Student ID Card
- Recent Academic Transcript in English
- Scan of English Proficiency Certificate.
- Formal Photo
- Certificate of Enrolment issued in English or Japanese
- Letter of recommendation from applicant’s academic supervisor or a faculty member
- Health Certificate (KU format): must be stamped by the official medical institution

- Formal ID photo (640 pixels × 480 pixels) image: Digital image (JPG, PNG or BMP) of a picture taken within the last 3 months
- A copy of passport
- Bank certificate
- Application form
- Family Relation Certificate (only for applicants with bank certificate under their father or mother’s name)
- Bachelor’s Degree Certificate
