KUEP 2025. Kanazawa University was founded in 1862 as Kaga Domain’s Hikoso Vaccination Center. Kanazawa University is a comprehensive university that has inherited the history and traditions of the predecessor schools, including the Fourth Higher School. It is located in Kanazawa, an academic city with a rich tradition and culture. To this day, Kanazawa University continues to innovate tirelessly to contribute to the region and the world through education, research, and social contributions based on these activities (excerpt from the message at President).
KUEP (Kanazawa University Exchange Program) 2025 is designed for students enrolled at institutions that have an exchange agreement with Kanazawa University and intend to study at Kanazawa University for six months or one year. While remaining enrolled at their home institution, such students may study in a non-degree program at Kanazawa University to experience a foreign culture, learn practical Japanese, take credited classes, or participate in independent research under the guidance of a supervisor.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR KUEP 2025
SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE
You can apply for a scholarship from the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO). The monthly stipend is 80,000 yen. However, because the results of your application will be announced just before you come to Japan, it is not reasonable to plan your expenses for studying abroad on the assumption that you will receive a scholarship.
Please make sure you have enough funds to participate, even if you do not have a part-time job or scholarship, as participation may interfere with your studies.
LIVING EXPENSES
Standard monthly living expenses in Kanazawa can be considered to be from around 80,000 to 100,000 yen. Please be sure to have sufficient funds available to cover your living expenses during the study period.
