The Kanazawa University Exchange Program (KUEP) provides opportunities for students from partner Universities to earn credits and/or receive research guidance at Kanazawa University. Exchange students are offered Japanese language program and courses on education and lectures in English or Japanese on Japanese culture and society and various fields of specialization in English or Japanese.

The period of stay is 6 months and the program has 2 periods of intake

INTERNAL REGISTRATION DEADLINE OF KUEP 2026
Telkom University students who want to participate in the Kanazawa University Exchange Program (KUEP) 2026 at Kanazawa University must register beforehand via the internal application link before:
- Spring (April 2026): before 21 September 2025
- Fall (October 2026): before 18 January 2026
COURSES AND PROGRAM OF KUEP 2026
Students can participate in a non-degree program at Kanazawa University to experience a foreign culture, learn practical Japanese, take credited courses, or conduct independent research under a supervisor’s guidance. ACCOMMODATION FOR KUEP 2026
Dormitories for new international students coming to Japan will be arranged by Kanazawa University. However, if the number of applicants exceeds the number of available rooms in university dormitories, or if you wish to live in a private apartment instead of the dormitory arranged by Kanazawa University, you will have to find an apartment yourself through a real estate agency. In this case, the monthly rent for a one-room apartment will be 40,000-60,000 yen, and the deposit and key money will be 150,000-300,000 yen, as well as insurance and other fees. ESTIMATED BUDGET FOR KUEP 2026 (1 semester)
Students are exempted from the payment of any entrance examination fees, admission fees and tuition fees.
APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY FOR KUEP 2026
- Telkom University graduate students
- Having excellent academic records and good honors with GPA of 3.00 (out of 4.00) or above
- Applicants must have Japanese or English proficiency to understand the course content (JLPT level N2 equivalent or higher for those who wish to take courses in Japanese, TOEIC Listening & Reading Test 700, TOEFL-iBT 72, TOEFL-PBT 527, or IELTS 5.5 for those who wish to take courses in English).
- Being nominated by the International Office of Telkom University

As the first step, Telkom University students must prepare all the required documents for joining the Kanazawa University Exchange Program (KUEP) 2026, such as:
- Scan of Student ID Card
- Recent Academic Transcript in English
- Scan of English Proficiency Certificate.
- Formal Photo
- Certificate of Enrolment issued in English or Japanese
- Letter of recommendation from applicant’s academic supervisor or a faculty member
- Health Certificate (KU format): must be stamped by the official medical institution

Follow these additional requirements for official registration to participate in Kanazawa University Exchange Program (KUEP) 2026:
- Formal ID photo (640 pixels × 480 pixels) image: Digital image (JPG, PNG or BMP) of a picture taken within the last 3 months
- A copy of passport
- Bank certificate
- Application form
- Family Relation Certificate (only for applicants with bank certificate under their father or mother’s name)
- Letter of Recommendation by International Office of Telkom University (only for applicants who don’t meet the GPA or language requirement)
- Bachelor’s Degree Certificate
