Exploring Nature and Culture with International Students

Exploring Nature and Culture with International Students. One of the routine activities organized by the International Office is Outing. To kick off the year 2024, we back to the ground with “Exploring Nature and Culture with International Students” for the participants of the Student Exchange and BIPA program for the academic year of 2023-2024. This program seeks to provide students with a pleasant break from the academic grind of the semester exploring nature while also immersing them in Indonesian culture.

The participants of the “Exploring Nature and Culture with International Students” activity came from Malaysia and Papua New Guinea. Starting at 9 a.m., the group set off towards Lembang for the first destination of this exploring nature event.

The first destination of the “Exploring Nature and Culture with International Students” activity was Dusun Bambu. International students were invited to Bandung exploring nature and try various attractions. Not forgetting, they also tasted authentic Sundanese cuisine, an integral part of the “Exploring Nature and Culture with International Students” experience. Despite some initial curiosity, they thoroughly enjoyed the dishes.

After exploring nature and Sundanese delicacies, after exploring nature of Lembang, the group headed east for the second visit. Saung Angklung Udjo was the last destination before returning to the dormitory. The “Exploring Nature and Culture with International Students” event chose Saung Angklung Udjo to introduce Sundanese culture. Here, international students got acquainted with the Sundanese musical instrument called Angklung, interactive dance performances and wayang golek puppet shows. These elements led the International Office to select Saung Angklung Udjo as the venue for “Exploring Nature and Culture with International Students.”

“Exploring Nature and Culture” provided four international students with a new experience during their stay in Bandung, Indonesia. Stay updated on all the exciting programs from the International Office. We look forward to seeing you all at the next “Exploring Nature and Culture” event for Telkom University’s international students!
