International ICT Business is a study program under the Faculty of Economics and Business Telkom University. International ICT Business is also one of most favorite study program for international students.
Introduction
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Telkom University has conducted online lectures for all students including new international students. It is expected that after the Covid-19 pandemic begins to subside and the Indonesian government has opened access and services for international students, we will gladly welcome international students on campus studies.
The Bachelor of International ICT Business Management is one of study programs in School of Economic and Business-Telkom University, Indonesia which was established in 1997. Our ICT Business Management has a very sharp focus on management for the needs of the Information & Communication Technology (ICT) industry. With the thick color of ICT, graduates of the International ICT Business Management Study Program can be accepted in the telecommunications industry and other industries that are aggressively using ICT in business processes.
What Will You Learn?
There are 5 concentrations in International ICT Business Management:
- Telecommunication Business Management (MBT), students will learn how to:
- implement telecommunication business management.
- be skillful in evaluating management based telecommunication with the support of wireless telecommunication networks and cellular.
- analyze business models that are being used in today’s telecommunications industry.
- Informatics Business Management, students will learn how to:
- create a business plan and implement Informatics business management.
- manage information security and understand information security audit.
- analyze management information systems along with software testing procedures.
- design e-commerce business processes and IT business.
- Media Business Management, students will learn how to:
- implement the media business management and media business marketing.
- evaluate the preservation system of digital information in media companies.
- be skillful in producing a work of media content by utilizing ICT and using elements forming the content and having attractive values.
- Content Business Management, students will learn how to:
- understand the ecosystem in the content business chain on the mobile telecommunications network, to know, and understand the business potential of mobile content, know and understand the process of providing content until the distribution and commercialization.
- analyze multimedia content management system and web semantics.
- evaluate the preservation of digital information systems in the company.
- International ICT Business Management, students will learn how to:
- manage an international business supported by International certificate in accordance with areas of interest and experience in overseas business.
- be skillful in speaking English actively (introductory teaching and learning delivered in English).
The learning materials of the International ICT Business Management are delivered in English, including lectures, internships, exams, theses, trials, and scientific publications. Students are also provided some international program such as mobility program (edutrip, student exchange or short course program) and international certification related to management. In addition, there will be an English Synergy Program to improve their English from the Language Center in the 1 years.
What Will You Become?
Graduates of International ICT Business Management are expected to:
- Be capable of planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and directing others, and exercising control in order to manage a business and non-business organization.
- Be able to perform the duties of functional manager (Marketing, Operations, HR, Finance) and entrepreneurs at a business and non- business organization.
- Be able to solve operational and managerial problems, choose the best solution, decision making recommendations, and make action plans to utilize information and communication technology.
- Be able to understand the theories, concepts, methods, and tools associated with the analysis of managerial skills in the areas of Marketing, HR, Operations, and Finance.
- Be able to perform data collection and processing and analyzing relevant information in the research process.
- Be able to apply the concepts of marketing management covering aspects of management and marketing, establishment of the marketing mixture, developing a strategy to plan the marketing program in a company.
- Be skillful in demonstrating a system for recording analysis and providing the company’s financial statements as a basis for financial decision making, and analyzing the sources of funding based on the theory of capital structure which can be implemented in a company.
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit so as to contribute significantly to improving the welfare of society.
- Be able to apply concepts of operations management which includes the design and operation of quality management, and analyze project management in a company.
- Be able to manage human resources which include: utilization, development, assessment, provision of fringe benefits, and management of individual members of the organization or group of employees, also involves the design and implementation of systems planning, employee, employee development, career management, performance evaluation, compensation of employees, and good labor relations.

International ICT Business Curriculum
Starting this odd semester 2020/2021, Telkom University, especially the School of Economic and Business, is implementing the 2020 Curriculum which refers to the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework. The 2020 curriculum design was made with the aim of:
- Anticipating the development of industrial revolution 4.0, by adding new literacy, namely human literacy, data literacy and technological literacy.
- Strengthening industry engagement by realizing the WRAP Program (Work Ready Program) in the form of internship, entrepreneurship and research-ship.
- Strengthening digital learning methods based on student-centered learning by developing blended learning, flipped learning and distance learning.
- Recognizing students’ community development and innovation activities by involving in Student Creativity Week activities, Thematic Real Work Lectures, national or international competitions, certification and other equivalent.
- Implementing the learning process of “Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka”, where students are given the freedom to take learning credits outside the study program, which can be taken from outside the study program in a university and or outside university.
All of this aims to produce graduates with the ability to think, problem solve, and interact across the globe according to the vision of the School of Economic and Business.(IO)***
