Celebrating Youth Pledge Day: ‘Youths’ What to Do, After Class Talk October Series #4. International Office of Telkom University held another After Class Talk October Series Episode 4 activity on Tuesday (27/10). Under the theme Celebrating Youth Pledge Day: ‘Youths’ What to Do, which coincided one day before the Youth Pledge Day celebration, this activity was attended by more than 50 participants. In this activity, the International Office invited outstanding students to share experiences about their achievements and their opinions as young people to have a contribution in developing the country.
One of the invited speakers was Bhanu Prabasworo, who is Telkom University student as well as a member of the Telkom University Choir (TUC). He shared his experiences and achievements when he joined the Telkom University Choir. Bhanu also advised the younger generation not to be afraid to reach their dreams and contribute to the country in a way that they can.
Meanwhile, Achmad Riyadi, one of Telkom University’s outstanding students who is part of the AUMR robot team, told how he and the AUMR team contributed to creating a robot that could help reduce the spread of covid-19. This robot has been used in several hospitals in Indonesia to help disinfect the room where Covid-19 patients are located.
One other student who was the speaker in this episode was Mohamed Omara, who is an international student from Sudan. Omara is also a Telkom University graduate student who is continuing his doctoral degree at university in Taiwan. He shared how he wanted to be able to study abroad to be able to build his country one day. He advised the younger generation not to be afraid to pursue education abroad.
In this after class talk episode, participants also had the opportunity to share their experiences and opinions about the role of the younger generation in developing the country.
