4. City Transport (Angkot)

Other common way to travel in Bandung is by city transport or we called it “Angkot”. You will see this angkot in many colors, such as green, blue, grey, yellow, and so on. The fares are depnds on your traveling distance. It would be better to ask other passangers (or the driver) for the right fare. For example, a short distance for about 1-2 kilometer, such as a trip from Transmart to Telkom University will cost you around IDR 5,000.

Give the money to the driver when you are getting off. Angkot drivers have habits to honk to get passengers. You can get on and get off anywhere you like, just hail for them to hop on, and say “Stop” or “ Kiri” to hop off.

It is recommended to go with your personal buddies whenever you travel using Angkot, and remember to watch over your belongings before hopping off from Angkot
