KUMAMOTO GRADUATE EXCHANGE 2026 WITH JASSO

KUMAMOTO GRADUATE EXCHANGE 2026 WITH JASSO. Commencing in 2000, The Graduate School of Science and Technology (GSST) at Kumamoto University initiated the Special Program for International Postgraduate Students, featuring select lectures conducted in English. This initiative aims to alleviate the language barrier for international students studying Japanese and provides Japanese students with greater exposure to English, essential for scientific research and study. In April 2007, GSST inaugurated the Global Joint Education Center for Science and Technology, facilitating educational collaborations and exchanges between GSST, universities, and industries worldwide, one of which is IJEP.

IJEP 2026 (International Joint Education Program for Science and Technology) Short-Term Exchange Program accepts qualified graduate students from overseas universities, including Telkom University, and provides education and research in English for a maximum of one academic year through Environmental Leader Program. In the Environmental Leader Program, students will belong to a laboratory to conduct a research project under the guidance of an academic supervisor in GSST. In addition, they are required to take some lectures related to topics in environmental issues and the field trip to learn about natural resources and related social issues.

But worry not, the Japan Student Service Organization (JASSO) Scholarship offers scholarships to selected 14 students from partner universities with a student exchange agreement, providing financial support to aid in their academic pursuits and cultural immersion during their exchange program experience. Let’s join the program!
