The Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship is a prestigious, fully funded program provided by the Government of Indonesia for students from developing countries to pursue higher education in Indonesia. Requirements for KNB Scholarship 2026
- Maximum age: 21 years old for Bachelor’s degree, 35 years old for Master’s degree, and 40 years old for Doctoral degree.
- Applicants are not allowed to apply for the same level of degree they already hold.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- English Proficiency Test certificate (not required for applicants from English-speaking countries).
- Recommendation letter from the Indonesian Representative in the applicant’s home country (not from the country of residence).
- Recommendation letter from the applicant’s employer; if currently unemployed, a statement letter must be submitted.
- Recommendation letter from the previous school or university.
- Scanned copy of the academic certificate legalized by the Ministry of Education or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the applicant’s home country.
- Official passport (diplomatic or work passports are not accepted).
- Upload a video to YouTube and submit the video link during the application process.
- Medical certificate, including physical health examination, communicable disease tests (Tuberculosis, syphilis, HIV/AIDS, Ebola, and Mpox), mental health assessment, and negative drug test results (screening for amphetamines, methamphetamines, marijuana, morphine, and benzodiazepines). All medical documents must be in English or Bahasa Indonesia and issued within the last 3 months.
- Willing not to marry an Indonesian citizen or another KNB scholarship awardee during the scholarship period.
- Willing not to become pregnant during the scholarship period.
- Willing not to join mandatory military service during the scholarship period.

Required Documents for KNB Scholarship 2026
Applicants must prepare and upload the following documents for the KNB Scholarship 2026 at Telkom University:
- Recommendation letter from the Indonesian Embassy in the respective country.
- Recommendation letter from the employer or immediate supervisor (for employed applicants), written in English or Bahasa Indonesia.
- Academic recommendation letter from previous schools and/or universities in English or Bahasa Indonesia.
- Scanned copy of a valid passport.
- Scanned academic certificates and transcripts:
- Bachelor’s degree certificate and transcripts (in English) for Master’s applicants.
- High School certificate and transcript (in English) for Bachelor’s applicants.
- Scanned English proficiency test certificate (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent) issued within the last two years.
- Scanned official medical statement issued by a certified physician.
- All documents must be uploaded in .jpg or .jpeg format, with a maximum file size of 300 KB per document to avoid technical issues during upload.
- Each applicant is allowed only one account on the KNB Scholarship website. Applicants are advised to ensure all documents are complete and accurate before final submission.
Application Procedures for KNB Scholarship 2026 at Telkom University
- Applicants download the KNB Scholarship Offering Letter from the official KNB Scholarship website http://knb.kemdiktisaintek.go.id.
- Applicants upload all required documents through the KNB Scholarship portal, including academic certificates, transcripts, passport, English proficiency certificate, recommendation letters, and other supporting documents.
- Applicants complete and submit the online application form.
- Applicants who pass the administrative selection will be invited to participate in the academic test (online), psychological test, and interview.
- Final selection results will be announced through the KNB Scholarship website and officially disseminated via the Indonesian Embassy network.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to thoroughly research Telkom University and their chosen study program before applying. Once admitted, changes to the selected university or study program are strictly not permitted.
Important Dates for KNB Scholarship 2026

KNB Scholarship 2026 Program at Telkom University
- All KNB Scholarship students are required to undertake the Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) program for two semesters (one academic year) prior to starting their academic program.
- Students must participate in a preparatory program conducted before the academic program in accordance with university regulations.
- Academic Program Duration:
- Bachelor’s Program: up to 8 semesters
- Master’s Program: up to 4 semesters
To successfully complete the program, students are expected to maintain strong academic performance, discipline, and a positive attitude throughout their study period.
Scholarship Coverage and Duration of the KNB Scholarship 2026 at Telkom University
The KNB Scholarship 2026 provides the following benefits:
- Settlement allowance upon arrival in Indonesia.
- Full coverage of tuition fees for both the BIPA and academic programs.
- Monthly living allowance during the BIPA and academic programs while residing in Indonesia.
- Monthly research and book allowance during the scholarship period.

- Round-trip economy-class airfare:
- From the student’s home country to Indonesia upon arrival.
- From Indonesia back to the student’s home country after graduation.
*Important Notes:
- Students must return to their home country no later than 60 days after program completion or graduation, provided their residence permit remains valid.
- Completion of the academic program does not necessarily coincide with the graduation ceremony. Return tickets are arranged by the host university, and students are required to obtain an Exit Permit Only (EPO) prior to departure.
