
Excellence in Research: Methods, Ethics, and Innovation – A Collaboration between TelU and UPI
On Monday, October 13, 2025, Telkom University and Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) successfully conducted a joint seminar titled “Excellence in Research: Methods, Ethics, and Innovation.” This collaboration between TelU and UPI was held from 08.00 to 13.00 WIB, attracting international students from universities across Bandung and beyond. The event aimed to promote research excellence through strong methodology, ethical practice, and innovative approaches.
This meaningful collaboration between TelU and UPI featured two distinguished speakers: Prof. Dr. Achmad Rizal, S.T., M.T. from Telkom University and Heri Setiyorini, Ph.D. from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
In the first session, Prof. Dr. Achmad Rizal presented “How to Start a Research Project,” sharing essential steps for young researchers to begin their academic journey. He explained how to identify a research problem, design proper methods, and maintain consistency in execution. Through this collaboration between TelU and UPI, Prof. Rizal also encouraged participants to build teamwork, think critically, and stay motivated throughout their research process.
Meanwhile, Heri Setiyorini, Ph.D. discussed “Ethics and Innovation in Modern Research.” Her session highlighted the importance of research integrity, data responsibility, and ethical publication. She emphasized that innovation must always align with honesty and societal benefit. The collaboration between TelU and UPI successfully reminded participants that ethics and innovation are inseparable pillars of academic excellence.
The event concluded with an engaging discussion where international students exchanged ideas and experiences. This collaboration between TelU and UPI not only strengthened academic partnerships but also inspired young scholars to pursue ethical and innovative research on a global scale. Ultimately, the collaboration between TelU and UPI became a valuable platform to shape future researchers who are visionary, responsible, and globally competent.
