New International Students 2024: A New Spirit
In September 2024, Telkom University warmly welcomed its newest batch of international students in an event aimed at settling them into their academic journey. Titled “New International Students 2024: A New Spirit,” the event provided a comprehensive introduction to the university, ensuring that students were well-equipped with essential information for their studies and life on campus.
The New International Students 2024: A New Spirit event kicked off with a welcoming speech from the Director of the Strategic Partnership & International Office, Ibu Lia Yuldinawati, Ph.D., who expressed her excitement for the fresh energy the international students would bring to Telkom University. She emphasized the importance of cross-cultural understanding and encouraged students to embrace this opportunity to grow both academically and personally.
Following the welcome address, Ibu Indah Fajarwati, Manager of the International Office, led a short session on Campus Introduction & Cross-Cultural Understanding. This segment in the New International Students 2024 September Intake: A New Spirit provided students with a glimpse into the rich campus culture and essential tips on navigating both academic and social life at Telkom University.
Next in the New International Students 2024 September Intake: A New Spirit, the Assistant Manager of International Services, Ibu Mefty Septiani, provided critical information on International Services & Immigration, ensuring students were well-informed about the legalities and support systems in place for their stay in Indonesia. This was followed by a briefing on Mobility & Scholarship Regulations by the Assistant Manager of International Mobility, Ibu Novie Susantie, covering opportunities for scholarships and study abroad programs.
A representative from the Information Technology Center, PUTI, was also present to introduce the iGracias platform in the New International Students 2024 September Intake: A New Spirit event. It is an essential digital tool for students at Telkom University. The session included guidance on activating and using the platform, which integrates various services, including course registration and academic information.
After a brief break, the students had the chance to engage in a fun activity—an Indonesian Tongue Twister challenge. This lighthearted exercise helped them break the ice and practice their Bahasa Indonesia.
The New International Students 2024 September Intake: A New Spirit event resumed with a presentation on the Learning Management System (LMS) by the Head of E-learning Center & Open Education Services, Bapak Muhammad Faris Ruriawan, S.T., M.T. This platform is essential for managing their academic coursework. The New International Students 2024 September Intake: A New Spirit session was followed by an introduction to the Open Library by Bapak Muhammad Zaky Rakhmat, ensuring students knew how to access Telkom University’s vast library resources.
The day of New International Students 2024 September Intake: A New Spirit concluded with a vibrant Welcoming Party hosted by the International Office Student Buddies Club (IOSBC), offering students a chance to mingle, share experiences, and form connections with both local and international peers.
