After Class Talk (ACT) Series March-June 2024. The International Office proudly hosted the After Class Talk (ACT) Series March-June 2024, an event initiative designed to bring together international and regular students to discuss pressing contemporary issues. This engaging series also featured expert discussions on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). After Class Talk (ACT) Series March-June 2024 is an initiative by the International Office, aimed at fostering intercultural dialogue and knowledge exchange among students. Each session invites students and experts to discuss relevant issues, offering diverse perspectives and enhancing the educational experience.

 

The After Class Talk (ACT) Series March-June 2024 started on March 28, 2024, with a fascinating discussion on “Ramadan Around the World.” Muhammad Saiful Adli, a student from Brunei Darussalam at Telkom University, and Amanturov Argen, a student from Kyrgyzstan at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati, shared their unique Ramadan experiences and traditions from their respective countries. This episode provides listeners with a deeper understanding of how this holy month is observed in different cultural contexts.

 

On April 30, 2024 The After Class Talk (ACT) Series March-June 2024 continued with an episode focused on “Climate Action: Incorporating Sustainable Practices in Our Everyday Life.” The discussion featured Mr. Harfan Hian Ryanu, S.T, M.E., the Head of External Affairs at the SDGs Center, Telkom University. Mr. Harfan shared valuable insights on actionable steps individuals and communities can take to foster a more sustainable society for future generations, emphasizing the importance of everyday sustainable practices.

 

The May 31, 2024 episode, part of the After Class Talk (ACT) Series March-June 2024, tackled the crucial topic of “Tips and Tricks for Managing Finances While Studying Abroad.” Telkom University students Syiva Zahra from Indonesia and Aila Mae Berenguer from the Philippines offered practical advice on budgeting, saving, and financial planning, helping international students navigate the financial challenges of studying abroad.

 

The After Class Talk (ACT) Series March-June 2024 concluded on June 25, 2024, with another installment of the International Student Series, featuring “Art and Architecture Around the World.” This enriching discussion invited Salma Abdelmoneim from Sudan and Toto Fanoela from Madagascar. They explored how various cultural, historical, and environmental factors shape architectural styles and artistic expressions globally, providing a broad perspective on global art and architecture.
