Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022. Telkom University is honored to collaborate with Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia for the fourth time in the Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022. The Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022 was held on Tuesday (16/8/22) onsite at Telkom University Landmark Tower (TULT). The Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022 participants were graduate international students from all over Bandung, West Java. The Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022 opened with remarks from representatives from both universities, including:
- Rina Pudji Astuti, Vice Rector of Research Innovation and Srategy, Telkom University
- Nia Nafisah, S.S., M.Pd., Head Division of International Program Development, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI)
- Indah Fajarwati, S.E., M.M., Manager of International Office, Telkom University
The Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022 also invited two amazing representative speakers from both Universities, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andry Alamsyah, S.Si., M.Sc., a lecturer mastering Big Data and Blockchain from Telkom University, and Dr. Eng. Beta Paramita, S.T., M.T., a lecturer in Architecture from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
Journal Preparation and Publication Method
Doing research and making a journal in a postgraduate program is one step to be accomplished. This Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022 gives a guide for international graduate students from all over universities in Bandung to create a journal easily. In this Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022, both speakers help students to figure the problems out.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andry Alamsyah, S.Si., M.Sc., shared his knowledge and experience in “scientific publication and citation” as the first speaker at the Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022. For him, writing a journal means documenting a legacy that will last forever. “so, if you have the idea, just write” he convinced.
Before doing scientific publication and citation, he reminded the participants at the Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022 that finding the research objectives and reasons to do a journal publication are the steps that cannot be missed. He also gave tips to the participants in writing a journal and showing the benefits of making a journal. “We have to practice, practice, and practice.” He added.
While, at the Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022, Dr. Eng. Beta Paramita, S.T., M.T., shared her knowledge and experience in “making a journal structure”. She also shared that writing is a process that she liked since she was in elementary school. “So, if you want to know how to write, you have to try it by yourself” she added.
A Journal is based on real-time data. Dr. Eng. Beta Paramita, S.T., M.T., believed that it is a must to use real-time data in a research process. The data determined the validity of the research. “When we committed to do research and turned it into a masterpiece, using real-time data will make the journal valid,” She said at the Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022.
The Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022 ran smoothly until the end. The participants were enthusiastic about the speakers and the topics at the Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022. Through the Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022, a lot of knowledge and experience were shared by the speakers and also the participants. The Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022 also becoming a place to help and share the solution in preparing and publishing journals, especially for the international graduate student program. And in the end, the Journal Preparation and Publication Workshop 2022 became a place to meet new colleagues to share brilliant ideas.
