Telkom University Wraps Up GLOW 2026
Bandung, Indonesia — Telkom University’s Directorate of Postgraduate and International Office has officially closed out GLOW 2026, the university’s flagship credit-earning summer program that brings together international students and visiting lecturers from partner universities across the globe. The program was formally reported by Angelina P. Kurniati, Ph.D., Director of Postgraduate and International Office.
GLOW 2026 is a two-week credit-earning program at Telkom University involving multiple departments that offer courses designed to sharpen students’ academic skills. Beyond the classroom, the program exposes students to the latest technology innovations, their impact on society, technopreneurship, and academic insights across a range of disciplines.
More than just an academic exercise, GLOW 2026 is a cornerstone of international collaboration for Telkom University. It enriches the campus’s international academic atmosphere, strengthens the quality of teaching and learning, and opens the door to further opportunities such as dual and joint degree programs, joint research, and other institutional partnerships.
Since 2025, the program has carried the identity of Telkom University’s Summer Program, and GLOW 2026 formally invited inbound lecturers and students from partner universities to take part.
A Decade of Growth GLOW 2026
Since its inception in 2017, the program has grown into one of Telkom University’s most significant international academic initiatives. Over that span, it has hosted 2,420 Telkom University students, welcomed 88 visiting lecturers from 48 universities across 19 countries, along with 2 practitioners, 107 inbound students, and 2 partner companies.
For this edition, GLOW 2026 welcomed visiting lecturers from 5 countries and 6 partner universities — Kyushu University, Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Hanyang University ERICA, Monash University, Multimedia University, and Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) — represented by 7 visiting lecturers who joined as professors, practitioners, and co-lecturers alongside Telkom University’s academic staff. This year’s courses covered a wide range of disciplines designed to broaden students’ academic exposure. Full details of the courses and schedules were made accessible through the official website, glowtelkomuniversity.org, along with a QR code shared during the reporting session for quick and easy access.
The program wasn’t limited to lectures and coursework. The visiting lecturers and international students were treated to a series of cultural and recreational activities designed to give them a deeper taste of Indonesian life and hospitality:
- GLOW Outing — Wednesday, 8 July 2026 (7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
- GLOW Farewell Dinner — Friday, 10 July 2026 (7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.)
International inbound students also took part in a dedicated excursion and cultural program:
- Nature Excursion (8 July 2026) — an off-road adventure through the scenic landscapes of Orchid Forest.
- Cultural Exploration (11 July 2026) — an immersive traditional performance at Saung Angklung Udjo.
- Recreational Excursion (18 July 2026) — a day of fun at one of Indonesia’s largest indoor theme parks.
Looking Ahead GLOW 2026
With another successful edition behind it, GLOW 2026 continues to reinforce Telkom University’s position as a hub for international collaboration in Southeast Asia and beyond. As the International Office looks toward future editions, GLOW 2026 is expected to pave the way for an even bigger network of partner universities, deeper cultural exchange components, and further global academic partnerships for Telkom University.
