Welcome New Students!

Welcome New Students! On 14th January 2019, Telkom University held a Welcoming Ceremony for new international students at Bangkit Building. This even semester, we have international students who join the Master Program and Student Exchange Program from Telkom University’s partners in Malaysia, Netherlands, and Timor Leste. This event was attended by Telkom University’s Rector Prof. Adiwijaya, Vice Rector III Dr. Dida Diah Damajanti, System Information staff, and Open Library staff. The purpose of this Welcoming Party was welcoming the students as well as introducing Telkom University and the program in detail.

Prof. Adi said that he really appreciate the students who join the program at Telkom University. He hoped the students will enjoy their time at the campus and find the beauty of Indonesian Culture. “We’re so happy to have you here, and we hope that you can broaden your horizon,” he added.

International Office, as the organizer of the event, provides the new students with information about Telkom University, such as the profile, the facilities, the achievement, and the innovation at the ceremonial. Not many who knows that Telkom University is the best private university in Indonesia and offers various scholarships for international students.

“We have scholarship for undergraduate and graduate program, student exchange program, credit transfer, credit earning, and Darmasiswa. But, if you are interested to join a Short Course, we also have many short program to offer,” Indah Fajarwati, the International Office Manager explained.

The welcoming ceremonial doesn’t stop there. After the formal event, it’s time for the new international students to “taste” the real welcoming party from Telkom University’s students. We called these students as “Buddy” who are the members of International Office Student Buddy Club (IOSBC). They were definitely having fun at the party, since our buddy offering some fun games and other exciting activities. Tasting Indonesian food was the most interesting part of those. (Lia/Ras)***
