Brief Description Post-Graduate Program in Electrical Telecommunication Engineering –  University of Telkom (formerly  IT Telkom) was established and confirmed by the Director General of Higher Education Ministry of National Decree No. 429/DIKTI/Kep/1999, as well as the Director General of Higher Education Decree No.. 586/D/T/2006 and accredited BAN PT (Higher Education National Accreditation Body) No. 017/BAN-PT/Ak-VI/S2/XI/2008 and has been accredited B by BAN-PT by Decree No.. 002/BAN-PT/Ak-X/S2/V/2012. In the curriculum of Master of Electrical Telecommunication Engineering- Telkom University  of 2004 and 2008 students were given a study load of at least 36 credits. While with the new curriculum, students are given the burden of study 40 credits with specialization in Wireless Communications and Network Engineering. Such specialization has two curriculum implementations which are based on research and course learning. The Graduate Program accommodates fresh graduate students and employees.
Vision Become a center of excellence in the implementation of Master  Education Program in Electrical Telecommunication Engineering  both in national and international scope.
Mission
  1. Providing Master Program education in the field of Electrical Telecommunication, in particular, Wireless Communication System and Network Engineering.
  2. Creating a conducive academic environment and learning process which is organized and qualified so as to optimize potential and creativity in the entire academic community.
  3. Conducting research, community service and develop innovation in the field of telecommunication, in particular in Wireless Communication System and Network Engineering either independently or in cooperation with industry locally and overseas.
  4. Producing graduates who are able to develop and implement the telecommunication technology, particulary in the field of Wireless Communication System and Network Engineering for the needs of network and telecommunication services industry, through integrated learning and research.
Course Competence Key Competencies:  Able to analyze current telecommunication systems and their problems by taking into account the development direction of technology towards convergence between business and technology of wireless Communication System and the Internet. Able to provide optimal solutions to problems of telecommunication systems by accommodating diverse QoS application/new services and network and information security.  Able to develop innovative telecommunication technologies by accommodating the convergence of wireless communication system that it requires a paradigm shift in the design of telecommunication system, that is, telecommunication systems that involve a cross-layer design between physical and network layers. This is supported by a design of adaptive systems by applying the latest related techniques. Able to analyze issues related to telecommunication engineering.    Key Competency Specialization:  a. Core competencies in the field of ICT, particularly Wireless Communication Systems: Able to design and implement a wireless communication system or subsystem by considering the technical and regulatory aspects, in particular, those that lead to the convergence of technology.  Able to develop wireless communication technology by considering the u tilization of existing technology, new technology and the needs of the telecommunication industry, particularly in the field of wireless communication. Able to analyze and anticipate the direction of the development of wireless communication technology, especially in the aspects of technology convergence in Indonesia in accordance with international telecommunication standards.  b. Core competency in the fields of ICT, particularly in Network Engineering fields: Able to develop telecommunication technology based on telecommunication management regulations, the current needs of the telecommunication industry, the use of existing technology, new technologies and optimization of technical resource requirements.  Able to analyze and anticipate the direction of telecommunication technology development, especially in the convergence aspects of the latest network and services in Indonesia by considering the regulatory aspects in accordance with international telecommunication standards.
Learning Outcomes After completing Magister program of Telecommunication Engineering, graduates are expected to fit the needs of the telecommunication industry and academic institutions / research institutions. The profile of graduates required by the telecommunication industry and academic / research institutions in Indonesia are those who have the following profiles: Professionals in telecommunication industry as telecommunication manager Researches in the field of Telecommunication Engineering    Consultant in Telecommunication Engineering    Academics in Telecommunication Engineering  Entrepreneurs in the field of Telecommunication and Telecommunication Industry
