Application process
Once you have been nominated by your home institution for the study period abroad, please go to ourapplication portal (available very soon – if you have any questions, please contact Julia Krumm).
Fill out the online application carefully, print the PDF file available after finishing the application and send it to the address below together with the other required documents. Please send us all documents by post and not by fax or e-mail only.
Please read the instructions on the application process carefully before actually editing the online form. Please sign the printed application form on the last page and remember to have it signed by your home institution as well. Only validated applications will be accepted.
Application deadlines
- If you apply for the winter semester or the whole academic year, your documentation must have reached us by May 15 of the year in which you want to begin your studies.
- If you apply for the summer semester, your documentation must have reached us by November 1 of the year prior to the beginning of your studies.
Late applications cannot be processed.
After receiving your documentation, we will send you an e-mail containing a confirmation of receipt and, if applicable, a request to submit missing data/documentation.
Once the deadline for applications has passed, all accepted applicants will receive an e-mail containing the letter of acceptance and further information as to how to prepare the study period abroad.
Application forms
Please include the following documents in your application:
Transcript of Records(list of grades that you have received so far at your home university) You can use a document issued by your home institution, provided that it is in German or English.
Learning AgreementThis can also be the form provided by your home university.
