Important deadline dates for submission of application documents is as below:<\/p>\n<p><span data-term=\"goog_1042817577\">April 25th, 2017<\/span> before 15.00 wib.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>PLEASE KINDLY INFORM THAT THE APPLICANTS HAVE A CHANCE TO GET JASSO SCHOLARSHIP<\/p>\n<p>Period of participation: 6 (six) months, OR 12 (twelve) months<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please be aware that we cannot accept application materials submitted directly from applicants.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please submit your application via International Office\u00a0Telkom University.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Purpose<\/h1>\n<p>Kumamoto University Short-Term Exchange Program is designed for students who are<br \/>\nenrolled full-time at partner universities abroad and have foreign citizenship. The program<br \/>\noffers undergraduate foreign students, who are interested in the Japanese language,<br \/>\nJapanese and Asian society and culture, advanced science and technology, and interactions<br \/>\nwith foreign students, the chance to study for up to a year in Japan while still retaining<br \/>\ntheir full-time status at their home universities. The university also hopes that the program<br \/>\nwill promote exchange between university students from foreign countries and Japanese<br \/>\nuniversity students.<\/p>\n<h1>Available Courses<\/h1>\n<h2>E Course (Program in English)<\/h2>\n<p>As a general rule, this course is intended for third year undergraduate students from<br \/>\nuniversities that have a student exchange agreement with Kumamoto University.<br \/>\nStudents in this course mainly take Short-Term Exchange Program classes taught<br \/>\nin English. Also, they can take Japanese language and Japanese Studies classes.<br \/>\nStudents in this course can take specialized subjects for undergraduate students<br \/>\nof each faculty and general education classes which are not included in program<br \/>\ncompletion requirements as well \uff08note: basically specialized subjects and general<br \/>\neducation classes are taught in Japanese).<\/p>\n<h2>J Course (Program in Japanese)<\/h2>\n<p>This course is intended for students from universities that have a student exchange agreement<br \/>\nwith Kumamoto University. Students in this course mainly take classes in specialized subjects<br \/>\nfor undergraduate students of each faculty, as well as classes in the Japanese language and<br \/>\nJapanese Studies. Also, they can take general education classes and Short-Term Exchange<br \/>\nProgram classes taught in English.<\/p>\n<h1>Period of Acceptance<\/h1>\n<p>Students are accepted for a term of a half or one year that starts in either October or April of<br \/>\nany given calendar year.<\/p>\n<h1>Applicant Qualifications<\/h1>\n<h2>E Course (Program in English)<\/h2>\n<p>1. As a general rule, applicants should currently be full-time thirdyear undergraduate<br \/>\nstudents at universities that have a student exchange agreement with Kumamoto<br \/>\nUniversity, and must have foreign citizenship.<br \/>\n2. Having English ability equivalent to a TOEFL iBT score of 61 or more.<br \/>\n3. Applicants should be physically and mentally capable of completing their studies.<\/p>\n<h2>J Course (Program in Japanese)<\/h2>\n<p>1. Applicants should currently be full-time undergraduate students at universities that<br \/>\nhave a student exchange agreement with Kumamoto University, and must have foreign<br \/>\ncitizenship.<br \/>\n2. Having Japanese Ability equivalent to JLPT N3 or more.<br \/>\n3. Applicants should be physically and mentally capable of completing their studies.<\/p>\n<h1>Certification of Credits<\/h1>\n<p>Credits for classes which the students complete will be approved as the credits of Kumamoto<br \/>\nUniversity, and academic transcripts will be issued to the students.<\/p>\n<h1>Tuition<\/h1>\n<p>Admission, examination fees and tuition payments to Kumamoto University will be waived as<br \/>\nlong as the number of students does not exceed the maximum number allowed by university<br \/>\nor department level student exchange agreements.<\/p>\n<h1>Application Procedure for Kumamoto University Short-Term Exchange Program<\/h1>\n<h2>Required Documents<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Application for Kumamoto University Short-Term Exchange Program<\/li>\n<li>Application for Certificate of Eligibility<\/li>\n<li>Application for Applying to Rent a Room at the International House<\/li>\n<li>Certificate of Enrollment (Issued by home university)<\/li>\n<li>Academic record (Official home university transcript)<\/li>\n<li>Letter of Recommendation<\/li>\n<li>Health Certificate<\/li>\n<li>Certificate of Financial Support (certificate of bank account balance, certificate of income, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Four photographs (40mm x 30mm)<\/li>\n<li>Copy of first page of applicant&#8217;s passport<\/li>\n<li>Required Documents related to Language Proficiency.<br \/>\nE Course applicants: TOEFL score for non native English speakers or Certificate of<br \/>\nEnglish Ability equivalent to TOEFL iBT score of 61 or more to be issued by the home<br \/>\nuniversity.<br \/>\nJ Course applicants: Japanese-Language Proficiency Test Certificate of Result and<br \/>\nScores of level N3 or more, Certificate of Japanese Ability equivalent to N3 or more to<br \/>\nbe issued by the home university<br \/>\n\uff0aStudents should acquire above applications \u2460,\u2461,\u2462 from the home university.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Deadline for Submission of Applications<\/h2>\n<p>\u30fbFor attendance starting in October 2017: April 28, 2017<br \/>\n\u30fbFor attendance starting in April 2018: November 30, 2017<\/p>\n<h2>Where to submit all required forms and documents<\/h2>\n<p>International Office of Telkom University<br \/>\nLearning Center (Bangkit) Building 1st floor<br \/>\nJl.
