This annual program, now in its 10th year, welcomed 30 students from Universiti Malaya (UM), Malaysia to Telkom University\u2019s campus in Bandung for a week of academic learning, cultural immersion, and cross-border friendship.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-e38a8ea\" data-block-id=\"e38a8ea\"><style>.stk-e38a8ea .stk-block-text__text{font-size:16px !important;}@media screen and (max-width: 1023px){.stk-e38a8ea .stk-block-text__text{font-size:16px !important;}}<\/style><p class=\"stk-block-text__text has-text-align-justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">The <strong>Short Course Tel-U x UM<\/strong> has become a hallmark of partnership between the two universities, offering participants a unique blend of classroom learning and cultural exploration. For 2025, the program was designed to highlight both technological innovation and Indonesia\u2019s rich cultural heritage.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-00c4f48\" data-block-id=\"00c4f48\"><style>.stk-00c4f48 .stk-block-text__text{font-size:16px !important;}@media screen and (max-width: 1023px){.stk-00c4f48 .stk-block-text__text{font-size:16px !important;}}<\/style><p class=\"stk-block-text__text has-text-align-justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">One of the academic highlights was the Robotics Class, organized by the Faculty of Applied Science at Telkom University. Through the <strong>Short Course Tel-U x UM<\/strong>, UM students engaged in hands-on robotics projects, collaborating with Telkom University students to design, program, and test robots. The session concluded with a lively robotics competition that showcased both creativity and teamwork.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-3dfaebf\" data-block-id=\"3dfaebf\"><style>.stk-3dfaebf .stk-block-text__text{font-size:16px !important;}@media screen and (max-width: 1023px){.stk-3dfaebf .stk-block-text__text{font-size:16px !important;}}<\/style><p class=\"stk-block-text__text has-text-align-justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">This Robotics Class was not only technical but also collaborative. Thanks to the <strong>Short Course Tel-U x UM<\/strong>, students from both universities exchanged knowledge and built friendships that extended beyond the classroom. Learning directly from Telkom University\u2019s lecturers while working side by side with peers enriched the academic experience.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-0561fe5\" data-block-id=\"0561fe5\"><style>.stk-0561fe5 .stk-block-text__text{font-size:16px !important;}@media screen and (max-width: 1023px){.stk-0561fe5 .stk-block-text__text{font-size:16px !important;}}<\/style><p class=\"stk-block-text__text has-text-align-justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">Outside of academics, the <strong>Short Course Tel-U x UM <\/strong>gave participants the chance to explore Indonesia\u2019s cultural traditions. Students joined a tie-dye craft workshop, learning the techniques behind this traditional art form and creating their own vibrant designs. This hands-on activity deepened their appreciation of Indonesian creativity.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-fee56cd\" data-block-id=\"fee56cd\"><style>.stk-fee56cd .stk-block-text__text{font-size:16px !important;}@media screen and (max-width: 1023px){.stk-fee56cd .stk-block-text__text{font-size:16px !important;}}<\/style><p class=\"stk-block-text__text has-text-align-justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">Another cultural highlight of the <strong>Short Course Tel-U x UM <\/strong>was the visit to Saung Angklung Udjo, a cultural center famous for preserving Sundanese arts. Here, UM students enjoyed live performances of traditional music and dance, and even participated by playing the angklung, a UNESCO-recognized bamboo instrument. The joy and interaction during this event created memorable moments for all.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-55b99af\" data-block-id=\"55b99af\"><style>.stk-55b99af .stk-block-text__text{font-size:16px !important;}@media screen and (max-width: 1023px){.stk-55b99af .stk-block-text__text{font-size:16px !important;}}<\/style><p class=\"stk-block-text__text has-text-align-justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\" class=\"stk-highlight\">Throughout the program, the <strong>Short Course Tel-U x UM <\/strong>demonstrated its unique role as both an academic platform and a cultural bridge. For many UM students, this was their first direct experience with Indonesian education and lifestyle.
