International Office of Telkom University once again held After Class Talk November Series under the theme Celebrating International Day for Tolerance: Strengthening Mutual Understanding among Cultures and People which was attended by more than 60 participants today (16\/11). This episode presents 5 speakers from international and national students who are Telkom University students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first speaker\nat this activity was Fatulloev Hikmatullo,a student from Tajikistan, who told\nabout tolerance in his country where the people of Tajikistan highly uphold\ntolerance, both religious tolerance and tolerance in everyday life. Meanwhile,\nSophie Anne Rekers, a student from the Netherlands, who has participated in\nthe student exchange program at Telkom University, said that tolerance in the\nNetherlands is very high because most Dutch people adhere to free ideology. The\nthird speaker who expressed his opinion on tolerance was Ilham Nizar who was a\nstudent representative from Indonesia who told the importance of tolerance in diversity in\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this episode, the participants were invited to interact and ask questions to the speakers. The fourth and fifth speaker who also expressed their opinion on tolerance were Anastassia Soroka from Ukraine and Cesaltino Soares from Timor Leste. They shared how important tolerance is to live together with others. In Ukraine, people also adhere to free ideology so they are very tolerant to others. Meanwhile in Timor Leste, the highest tolerance is religious tolerance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The topic of tolerance is very interesting because it was delivered by several students from various countries. They all agreed that tolerance are very important to be able to coexist in harmony with others and is a very essential thing in life.
