BANDUNG, Telkom University Telkom University as a university incorporated in Association of Higher Education (Aperti) of Government-owned Enterprises (BUMN) in Indonesia, on 27 June to 1 July 2018 attended Discover Government Linked University (GLU) on 27 June in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Government Linked University (GLU) is a university association owned by Government-Owned Enterprises in Malaysia. Currently, Malaysia’s GLU members consist of four universities, namely Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Multimedia University (MMU), and Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP).

The four universities from Malaysia on Monday (30/7) visited Telkom University, which was consisted of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib (Vice Chancellor UTP), Prof. Datuk. Ir. Dr. Kamal Nasharuddin Mustapha (Vice Chancellor UNITEN), Prof. Dato ‘Dr Ahmad Rafi Mohamed Eshaq (President of MMU) and Prof. Dato ‘Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud (President of UniKL). The delegation was greeted directly by Telkom University Rector Prof. Ir. Mochamad Ashari, M. Eng., Ph.D.

Chairman of GLU Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim bin Abdul Mutalib as well as President of UTP explained that the purpose of the visit besides as a gathering event it was also to explain that the results of the workshop between GLU and APERTI BUMN on last June 29, 2018 was to determine the direction of development of GLU – Aperti BUMN in the next 5-10 years, and the determination of joint activities that could be done within the framework of cooperation of GLU and Aperti BUMN.

“We hope both from GLU Malaysia and Aperti BUMN Indonesia this cooperation can continue to run smoothly so as to generate new thoughts and good relations between universities and companies.” He said.
