Cooperation between Telkom University and Yamaguchi University

Telkom University, represented by Dr. Eng. Khoirul Anwar, ST., M.Eng. and Dr. Nachwan Mufti Ardiansyah, ST., MT. had an opportunity to visit Yamaguchi University in Japan. The visit aims to report the results of joint research in the first year of international grants research and also discuss the potential signing of MoU between Yamaguchi University and Telkom University.

In this visit representatives from Telkom University met with Assistant Prof. Takayuki Nozaki as a representative of the Department of Science to discuss coding theory. According to Prof. Ass.t Takayuki Nozaki the rising star of coding theories in Japan, Yamaguchi University through him said that foreign students in Yamaguchi University still not that  much and will be happy if there are students from Indonesia, including alumni from Telkom University. The small number of foreign students is open up a huge potential for Indonesian students to study in this university. To Yamaguchi University, Telkom University Representative explained the potential of MoU.

Also generated from this visit is that representatives from Yamaguchi University are ready to be invited to Telkom University in August – September 2017 in the hope that the MoU will be able to be established between the two Universities especially for cooperation in Telecommunication.

In this visit representatives from Telkom University met with Assistant Prof. Takayuki Nozaki as a representative of the Department of Science to discuss coding theory in the department of Informatics. He is the rising star of coding theories in Japan.

Yamaguchi University was very welcomed with the visit of Telkom University because the representatives, Dr. Eng. Khoirul Anwar, ST., M.Eng. And Dr. Nachwan Mufti Adriansyah, ST., MT. Proposed a multiple access technology on 5G technology for internet-of-things (IoT) applications. Pleased with the advice that given by Telkom University’s representatives, Yamaguchi’s representative said to his students at the end of the meeting that “Very interesting research has been born! (from Indonesia)”. Hopefully in the future another new research from this two university collaboration will be born.
